The McKenna family came to Burns Lake
 by horse and wagon, from Kelowna in August 1911
Mr. Jim "Jimmy" McKenna worked in the Burns Lake Post Office
until he was very old.
His son Bill took over from him.
They were early settlers in the Burns Lake area.
McKenna Ave. in Burns Lake, named after this family
