 son of William Butze and Ragenn Konantz
 parents both b- in Germany
 Educated in the Public Schools in Quincy 
			Illinois Served in the Civil War, then entered 
			Railway Business in 1868He worked first for the Wabash Railway.
 In 1885 he went to the Missouri Pacific 
			Railway,working
			in the Purchasing Department.
 2 years later, ca 1887, he was made Private 
			Secretaryof the General Manager of the Chicago, Indianapolis & Louisville 
			Railroad.
 Spent last 16 years of his career with the 
			Grand Trunk Railroad.  May 1896- Appointed General Purchasing 
			Agentof the Grand Trunk Railroad.
 General Purchasing Agent for Grand Trunk 
			Pacific Railwaywhen Prince Rupert was made the terminus of that line.
 He was sick for 2 years prior to his death,from an unknown illness.
 He lived in Montreal and St. Louis.
 His headquarters were in Canada.

			Rebeca Githerns)married Dec 20, 1875, St. Louis, MO, USA
 b- Sept 8, 1847, St. Louis, Missouri, USA
 d- 1925
 father b- Pennsylvania, USA
 mother- b- West Virginia, USA
 Both Immigrated to Canada in May 1, 1896
 No children both show up in 1901 in Saint Antoine Ward, 
			Montreal Quebecsurname shown as Butzi in index
 show up in 1910 census, back in the states,St Louis ward, St. Louis, Missouri, USA
 1920 Rebecca shows up as a widow, living at 5530 Delmar, St. Louis, MO, USA
 May 1892- He was a manager for Ezra Linsley, 
			St. Louis.He then opened an office in the Bank of Commerce building
 and set up a brokerage business there.
 Adolph Butze retired from the Grand Trunk, Jan 1, 1912 
			Butze Rapids near Prince Rupert, named after this man. Butze Alberta, a station on the GTPR, also 
			named after him.Located 30 km NE of Provost, established in 1910
 His father:ca 1902- L. F. W. Butze had a small store in Quincy Illinois
 He was the brother-in-law of Paul Konantz
 Ludwig Wilhelm Franz Butze came to US in 1837 to Illinois.
 He attended the funeral of
