name = Brown
General Comment Place or Event Name = Estevan, Taylorton
Place of Residence = deseronto, ont. canada
message = My father was Bertram Brown. His father's name was Robert
Austin Brown and was suppose to have been buried in Taylorton. My mom name
was Isabella Brown. She married Morrell Edwardson. She adopted me (Alberta
Brown) daughter of Bertram after Bert died in a coal mine in East Coulee. I
just wanted to know if these names mean anything to you. I have seen that
the Brown brothers played in Estevan at parties and I heard that they were
musical. I just wished I asked more questions when everyone was alive.
Sorry to bother you Just curious

Maureen Taylor
My father's family owned Great West Coal at Taylorton, SK, and as a child I
was told of the small town named after us. I am beginning a genealogy
search and would appreciate any information you may have about the Taylor
clan. My father was Donald Taylor, and my grandfather was Thomas Taylor.
That is as far back as I can go and I know very little about the family, and
nothing at all about possible relatives.Thank you, Maureen
Taylor

My Dad - Hugh Fraser, spent
several years of his youth (late 1930's to early 1940's) in
Taylorton. From the 1950's to the 1970's, we would go to Bienfait
for family visits (my Mom - Anne (Pidlisecky) grew up in Bien-
fait). Dad would take us exploring in Taylorton and surrounding area
- Moccasin Rock, the Sugar Loaf, Roche Percee, etc. Those were fun
times! |
