name = Ron Hardy
message = Hi, My father was born in Hirsch in 1914 to Joseph and Mary
Tustanowski.
His family left around 1917.
I am presently writing a small book on his life
and therefore doing some research which is what led me to your site.
Couldn't find the name on the 1911 Census.
There is still an annoying 'Capital One' pop-up on your site.
Thanks for your efforts to preserve some history. Ron
Place of Residence = Moose Jaw, Sk
as you can now see Ron, no more annoying ads!!!

That ? mark means they couldn't read the inscription,
glad you learned something.
Tue 16/08/2005 6:45 AM- Hello. My name is Arthur Muscovitch.
I'm the son of Alec Muscovitch,
to whom you referred in your historical sketch of Hirsch.
Your article was referred to me by my son, Zak Muscovitch,
who was a very young boy and was present and gave a speech,
on behalf of my father Alec, who was ill at the time,
at the dedication of the Hirsch Jewish cemetery.
I am happy to give you permission, on behalf of my family,
to include and make reference to my father's book.
Best regards, Arthur Muscovitch
Thanks Arthur
In 2003 I had an inquiry
from Dawn
Aisenstat re her Uncles the Kleiman brothers
It was to do with what she thought was a link I had on the site, but it was
just the little note
about them in my personal stuff. sorry for the confusion Dawn
Even had an inquiry from
Israel on Oct 8, 2003
My name is
Jeremy and I am writing to you from Jerusalem, Israel. I am
currently involved in writing an educators guide to Jewish sites in Western
Canada and plan to include a chapter on the farming colony in Hirsch.
Having seen your website, I was wondering if you have any contacts with
people near there (do you live near there)? I shall be visiting on October
17th arriving in Regina in the morning and hiring a taxi to take me there.
lternatively, do you have any pointers as to where I should go
specifically. Do you know if there is open access to the cemetery?
with many thanks, Jeremy Leigh
Wonder how his book made
out?
