She had a brother William "Bill" Arndt
who died before her,

She had a half brother and half sister as well.
Herbert and Ida moved to Canada in 1906
to the Weyburn area first.
Then they moved from there to the Outram District,
from 1909 to 1925.
They were in Torquay area in 1910.
They then moved to Estevan, and then the Roche Percee area.
They were farmers in all these places, until late 1940's.
They operated Poage's Coal Mine until
mid 1930's,
in one account, and late 1930's in another.
When they sold out, Herbert moved to Sicamous BC
Herbert and Ida had 3 children.
His 2 sons are deceased.
Karl Gustafson was Herbert's Pit Boss in 1933
Karl was the nephew of Mr. Peterson from Shand mine
