There was an Edward Pierce,

found him in BC death records d- Feb 17, 1973 in Vancouver BC, age 77.
why the date discrepancy?
He was married to a Mary Buchanan when he died.

Mine manager at Eastern Collieries, at one point.
Obviously in 1931 at least, see below.

Edward Pierce Jr. enlisted in WWI Mar 30, 1916, in Winnipeg
I show him born in England above, but enlistment papers
clearly states he was born in Columbus ND, USA
He was living in Roche Percee when he enlisted.
His father, next of kin, also lived in Roche Percee.
His occupation is shown as Chauffeur, single.
then his other attestation form dated Sept  21, 1917,
shows him born Jan 7, 1896 in Wigan Lancashire, England
which matches the England Birth Registry.
Again he shows his dad Edward Pierce in Roche Percee
Here he is shown as a Mechanic now.
and he is now living in Estevan, still single.
shown serving 6 months in 212 Battalion in CEF, discharged, reason, excessive NCO's
Rank corporal, Reg # 2115606 and 261070

and she died in Grand Forks ca July 2001

Found a 1933 social column account
saying Edward Pierce of the Western Dominion Mine
Mrs. Pierce, and Miss Marian, were visitors in Regina.

then a 1940 article saying Mrs. Edward Pierce, Robyn, Jocelyn, and Marie
of Estevan, were at Carlyle Lake for the summer season.
My guess these were all the family of Edward Pierce Jr.

a Mr. E. F. Pierce held the office of the Noble Grand
 in the Oddfellows in Estevan.
Turns out after further research this was Ernest F. Pierce.
Ernest came to Estevan in 1910.  relative?  not sure.
But this is not Edward Pierce.

Haven't been lucky enough to see any more info on this family.
would love to find their picture, and more history
