Here it is, almost three months after the reunion, and I still can't believe
that
it really happened. What a great week-end! It was great to see so many
there, not only classmates but also former teachers and other community
members. The entire event was wonderfully organized and seemed to go off
without a hitch, although there probably were a few minor ones. I'm hoping
that there will be another one in a few years. Until returning to Estevan
after
so many years, I never realized how much the school and the community have
meant to me over the years. Although I haven't lived in Estevan since I
left in
'66, it still feels like home. I felt like a teen-ager again while I was
there.
Thanks again to the committee for all your work and to all those who
attended and who made it such a success. Hope to see some of you again,
and to keep in touch with others.

Comments: Only real ongoing challenge for the Estevan based Alumni...
Some one MUST take on the task of finding out
what happened to the paintings the grad classes left to the school.
Most of the painters have done well since then, some very
well! More importantly, they are our legacy, our point-in-time
memorial to OUR school. They don't deserve to be left in a
storage shed like the trophies!!! Please, Larry and team, someone
take this on for our future Reunions??!! Mind you, how in
Hell do you make the fantastic even better? p.s. I've sent Doug
my pictures to be included on the site, we really haven't
changed!

and Doug!!! What you accomplished was
unbelievable!! Great to catch up with those I haven't kept in
touch with. Whoever designed the name tags is to be commended
- in 99% of my people photos they are readable and an excellent
way to pass on to Arliss. Merv Symons and crew -
THANK YOU - your ability to cater to a crowd the reunion size
was nothing short of amazing. Doug - the CD is excellent,
but after viewing the web site all year, I wasn't surprised -
much appreciated. ECI - hate to think of it going down - such
memories come flooding back - will be like losing an old friend
- as Valley View, before it was. THANKS TO ALL ONCE

Comments: Finally got our site going again. Great to hear from
you all. Pat Peters{Turner} was here in R.D. this past
week-end so we had another visit. Can't tell you all what a great
time I had. I really had a fantastic time some things never
change. I for the life of me can understand why they want to
tear E.C.I. down, in Europe she's{he's} a new structure. Thanks
again to everyone for organizing this wonderful event. For those
that I renewed our memories let's keep in touch .I want to
also Thank my brother Doug for taking me, we had great talks,
also that Robinson bunch you were alot of fun. Take care

Comments: A THANK YOU to the Reunion committee......and all the
detectives. We (the students and teachers of E.C.I)
did what a lot of other High Schools dream of doing: rekindle
the friendships of our schooldays. Seeing the halls and class
rooms of ECI. Driving around Estevan; seeing the old house we
lived in, remembering the The Canada Cafe; the Starlite
Drive-In; ...and so much more..I am sure most of us will return
to have another look around, someday, but July 21,22 & 23
were special, as were the Days we attended 'Dear Old E.C.I.'....Good

Comments: Great party. Glad I came down on Wednesday, should
have stayed until Monday. Bonny and I had a great time.
Very good to see all from ECI and IHH. The golf was great. Congrates
to all who worked so hard to put this together. Mr.
Rooks, Mr. Turner and the cadets did a great job at entertaining
and looking after us wayward drinking people. I was
suprised at how many people I had forgotten about and also how
many people I didn't realize that knew me. Once again ,
very enjoyable, and what's this about 2005? Anyone who missed
coming to this party, well what can I say.......... !! The
glasses that I lost were foud by Coach K. who in 35 years still
can't remember my name. Keep in touch

Comments: Can hardly believe that one week ago today I was in
Estevan at the Elks checking out people I had not seen for
35 years!!! Ever in my lifetime again? I don't think so. Congratulations
to the committee. Everything was very well organized -
seemed to flow smoothly from where I was and the catering for
the dinner was a "feat fantastic" in itself. We were fed within in
one hour. Food was hot and delicious. Hats off to the Symon's.
Great to see old/young school mates again. My old house is
still there and the ravine that used to look so huge has diminished!!!
Diane M., I missed u. Where was Joanne Skoberg? and
Gail Dukart? and Bill Harris what's happening in 2005??? Cheers

eye to once again see me as a 17 year old. Certainly I
saw everyone in the same light during the reunion. Our Estevan
friends have lots to be proud of, Our teachers all have lots to
be proud of. I'm so pleased that I got to play with Hugh Williams
again. It's only 40 years since he taught me to play the
trumpet! Thanks Hugh. And many, many thanks to Larry and his
committee. We will be back in 2005!

weekend was too short -- I wish the party could have gone on

Comments: Finally got up after a good long sleep - recovering
from a weekend that exceded my expectations by far! A huge
thank you to all who organized the reunion. You guys did an exceptional
job and were amazing hosts. Saw many I hoped to,

too - like who put the dead snake on my shoulder at
