Located 45 miles southwest of Prince Rupert
on the Tsimshian Peninsula.
Main community is on Dolphin Island I.R. No. 1.
Gitkxaahla= Kitkatla
The name comes from a Coast Tsimshian word
meaning "people of the salt", i.e., village by the sea.
