STAFF PARTIES
CHAPTER #12

STAFF CURLING FUNSPIELS

Once a year, the Operators and other Company Employees in Prince Rupert
would hold a Curling Bonspiel, for BC Tel and City Tel workers.
This was a weekend event, and was a blast.
They used to serve up a banquet on the Saturday night
that had every kind of seafood available at the time,
buckets of shrimp, abalone , salmon, etc.
It was a great meal, one not to miss!
We would also hold smaller Bonspiels in Terrace
  once in awhile as well.
I would like to write more about these events,
but my mind is kind of foggy on what really happened.
I think I won the award one year, for being the most drunk of all.
I think they found me sleeping on a viewing seat.
Mind you I remember others sleeping in the hallways
of the hotel, since they were so drunk they couldn't find their key,
or remember which room they were in.
I guess we had fun!

Proof I actually won a trophy one year!
