Located at  NE Section 3, Township 8, Range 2, W2

Latitude- 49 37' N
Longitude- 102 11' W

Elevation 2061 ft

Located on the Canadian Pacific Railroad, CPR, in 1927
between Carlyle and Manor

part of 1927 map of this area.

Grain Elevator shown at Steppes ca 1927
owned by Maple Leaf Grain Company.
bought later by Searle Grain Company.
Agent in 1920's,  R. Strachan
I believe this was Robert Strachan
b- June 1902 in SK
father- James Strachan, b- July 1868 in ON
mother- Sarah Strachan, b- Sept 1875 in ON
siblings, Willard, b- in USA
Archie, and William, b- in SK

Sandy Clayton, until 1943
Other Agents, John McDonald, Jack Leverton,
Mr. Rouselle, Morley Bowen,
Walter Reynolds, Mel Tollefson
sold in 1950's to George Humphries and Bill Ehnis
sold to Saskatchewan Wheat Pool,
who a few years later closed it down
