BACKMAN'S STORE NELS BACKMAN- PROP My Uncle Nels sold oil, gas etc under his own name until he signed up as a North Star Agent My dad's receipt June 6, 1947 This store was located on the South side of the railway xing going into the Backman homestead on the north side He sold gas and oil wholesale to farmers etc. When he quit the business he was a Shell Oil Dealer.
